Welcome to Malibu

Malibu, California owes its name to Native American Indians who originally settled there. The Chumash tribe named the area “Humaliwo”, which means “the surf sounds loudly”. Until Pacific Coast Highway was built in 1929, Malibu was a highly secluded area. Today, Malibu is world renown for its picturesque scenery and affluent residents. Malibu Beach Homes line both sides of PCH and median cost of homes are around 3 million.

Overview of Malibu

Malibu, California is just 48 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, and only 41 minutes away from LAX International Airport. Many celebrities and entertainment industry moguls live in Malibu Beach homes, adding to the allure of the of this beach side community. A few highlights of Malibu are its gorgeous cliffside homes, pristine beaches and breathtaking ocean views.

Neighbors are typically beach goers who seek and value privacy. Despite being on PCH, Malibu Beach Homes offer a lot of seclusion. Home owners own property from the highway all the way to the beach- providing residents with proper privacy

In addition to its residents, Malibu—aka the ’Bu—attracts surfers, swimmers, and sun-seeking day trippers. It’s a neighborhood of active individuals who balance jogging along the beach and hiking the nearby canyons- while also enjoying oysters and fresh seafood at one of the high end restaurants along the coastline. Jagged cliffs, secluded coves, and miles of sparkling ocean draw people from all over the city (and world) to Malibu’s stunning shores.
